Career Fair
We are excited to announce that LCVI will host a special Career Fair in April 2026, offering our students a unique opportunity to explore a diverse range of career paths and gain valuable insight into the skills and education needed to thrive in today’s workforce. This event is designed to connect students with professionals from every sector—secretarial, managerial, skilled trades, labourers, business professionals, executives, owners, and more. We warmly invite members of our local community to participate and share their experiences, helping students envision their future possibilities.
If you are interested in joining us as a presenter or exhibitor, please reach out to Ms. Dupuis, Head of Student Services, at dupuiscorinna@limestone.on.ca for more information. Your involvement will make a meaningful difference in our students’ learning and career exploration. Stay tuned for further details as we prepare for this exciting event.
Course Selection
February is course selection month! It's almost time to select the classes you want to take next year. At LCVI, we are pleased to offer diverse and innovative programs in a range of areas, including Advanced Placement (AP), AP Prep, Academic Arts Enrichment Programme (AAEP), Creative Arts, Cooks Internship, Studio LC, Hair Apprenticeship Program, School to Community, Dual Credits, Specialist High Skills Majors, and more! The information you provide us with when choosing your course selections will determine which courses we can run next year, and we will build next year’s timetable to maximize student choice. If you decide to change your course selections at a later date, it may be more difficult to get the classes you want as the timetable will be built tailored to the choices you make during the course selection process. We are here to help you make informed decisions that are right for you. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to a member of our Student Services and Student Success team if we can be of any assistance with the course selection.
Text Book Return
We kindly ask that you check in with your student to see if they have any textbooks or novels from past courses at home. Students, please check your locker. With the rising costs of texts and educational materials, we greatly appreciate if texts from first semester are returned to Mr. Goldring in the Library as soon as possible. Thank you for your assistance!

Traffic Reminders for Drop-Off/Pick-Up
The front of our school is very busy in the morning and at dismissal. Please take care when entering and exiting the front laneway. A reminder that the front lane way is for quick drop-off and pick-up. Cars are not permitted to be parked or idling in this area. At the end of the school day, if your student is not ready to be picked-up, you must move along to maintain traffic flow.
Consider picking up your student 5-10 minutes after dismissal to help reduce congestion. Or consider dropping off/picking up your student at pre-arranged meeting spot in the surrounding neighbourhood. Thank you for your help keeping everyone safe.
Help Wanted! Bingo Volunteers Needed
We are in need of a few more volunteers to run bingos. Please contact Paul Goldring (goldringp@limestone.on.ca) if you are interested in helping out or learning more.
We are thankful to Play! Gaming & Entertainment for their generosity and support over the years! Funds raised help us to significantly reduce fees in support of student extra-curriculars at LCVI.
Scents at School Reminder
LCVI/Calvin Park is a scent free school. We have students and staff who experience severe physical reactions when exposed to colognes, perfumes, body sprays, etc. Please do not wear scents at LCVI/Calvin Park! Do not apply them before you come to school, and do not apply them while at school. Thank you for your help with this.
Inclement Weather
Please note that you can sign-up to receive notifications of cancellations to your student's specific bus route at https://triboard.ca/. If your students is going to stay home on an inclement weather day, please remember to report their absence through School Messenger to help us track attendance and ensure student safety.
Daily Announcements
Students hear information about extra-curriculars and events on the daily announcements, also posted on the bulletin board outside the main office, on the school website (https://lcvi.limestone.on.ca/daily-schedule-announcements), and on LCVI Instagram.
