· Hey Lancers! Did you know that March is Epilepsy Awareness Month? Epilepsy affects 50 million people globally. Wear a purple shirt on Thursday to support!
· It’s the most truly magical, wonderful, beautiful time of the yeeeear ! Track and field starts this week! If you have not signed up or want some more information, please come to room 132 today at lunch for a brief meeting. Practices will start tomorrow so please be sure to check the Google Classroom for details posted by 8pm tonight (class code: qsbvbj2p) distance runners bring your outdoor run gear for a short easy run tomorrow after school!
· Tryouts for the girl’s soccer teams will begin today after school at 3PM. There has been a change to the field location and it will be held at Richardson field instead. We will meet in the foyer immediately after school and leave at 2:45PM to walk to the field together. Bring water and dress warm! If you are unable to attend today, we will have more tryouts Wednesday and Thursday this week. If you have any questions, please speak to Ms. Davis or Mrs. Parent.

· There will be a bake sale at lunch on Thursday and all proceeds will go to the epilepsy southeastern Ontario organization, there will be a presentation in the library on Thursday (with prizes). Wear purple on Thursday for National Day of Epilepsy Awareness.
· IT"S TIME! Are you ready to run, throw, and make some spicy plays? Come join the LCVI Ultimate Frisbee Team. Whether you're a seasoned player or trying something new, this is your chance to be part of something awesome. Practice will be held Wednesday in the gym at lunch.

If you are interested in seeing how far you can throw, how long you can job, how fast you can run, come on out to track and field. Runners, sprinters, and jumpers meet in the foyer at 2:50 for a 3km run, and throwers meet Mr. Fawcett at the gym to set up and get some throws in! Thursday March 26 is Certification Day in the Cafeteria— the one day your skills go from ‘meh’ to ‘heck yeah!’ Health & Wellness: learn to save lives (or at least stop someone from spilling coffee). Construction: build things that don’t collapse… unlike your last IKEA project. Show up, get certified, and maybe become a legend. Or at least impress your cat!
There is a presentation at lunch in the library with prizes, come out and support epilepsy awareness. There is also a purple bake sale!

On Friday the BIPOC Affinity team will be hosting a potluck during lunch to finish off Global Fusion. Hey lancers, join us today in the cafe at lunch for the BIPOC affinity teams’ global fusion potluck. There will be food available to purchase from various local businesses, as well as free food items made by your fellow lancers. Make sure to come fast before the food runs out!
Thank you to everyone who came to tryouts for the girls’ soccer team this week! We appreciated everyone's effort and positivity at tryouts. Ms. Davis and Mrs. Parent will contact each of you by email this evening regarding next steps for the team.
Congratulations to all players who participated in yesterday's badminton tournament. The top place A pool winners were Alicia S in the senior singles event, and Mallory B in the junior singles event. Other first-place pool winners were Annie M, Sylvia Z, Zynah, Silvia M, and James in the singles event, along with Karen and Leo in the mixed doubles event. Shout out to our second-place pool finishers: Bryn and Elise, and Shail and Estella in mixed doubles, and Abiyyan and Deven in singles. Thank you to LCVI and Calvin, our volunteers, and our custodial staff for your support!
