June 1, 2026

Today is Ontario Day, June 1, 2026. Ontario Day is an opportunity to celebrate the province and the significant milestones and contributions of past and present generations, highlighting Ontario’s important role in Canada. It is also a chance for students to learn more about Ontario’s history and develop a shared appreciation for the province and its future. Ontario’s story is one of growth, innovation and diversity. Generations of people and communities, including First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples, as well as newcomers, have helped shape Ontario’s communities, industries and institutions over time. From the North to the Great Lakes, and from small towns to major cities, Ontario’s people, resources and achievements have helped drive progress across the country and beyond. Ontario Day also provides an opportunity to recognize the diverse linguistic and cultural communities that enrich our province.

It may be hard to believe that the track season is still in full swing, but what isn’t hard to believe is how incredibly the LC team did on Friday at East Regionals. East Regionals is the hardest competition we have seen all year, and our Lancers once again showed up in big ways! Huge shoutout to ALL our team: Landon, Isla, Mallory, and Nathan who each had a top 10 finish! Kudos to Nathan for making it to East Regionals as a novice boy in a brand-new event, and a huge congratulations to Sierra Carroll who will be representing us this week at OFSAA in shotput. Way to go team! Ms. Kiley is still Missing some singlets…

Congratulations to LC's Unified Basketball Team on an outstanding performance at the Provincial Games in London last week! In a thrilling battle for first place, the Lancers rose to the challenge and captured the gold medal with a dominant team effort. Congratulations to Sierra Carroll, Aaryan Zian, Max, and Cam Davidson for your hard work, determination, and outstanding play throughout the tournament. Your dedication, teamwork, and competitive spirit were instrumental in bringing home the championship. A special thank you as well to our unified players, Dom McCann and James Karkoulis, whose leadership, support, and athleticism helped drive the team's success both on and off the court. Your positive influence, teamwork, and commitment were invaluable to this gold medal-winning effort.
