School Council

School Councils are important partners in education. They provide a forum through which parents, guardians, and other members of the school community can contribute to improving student achievement and well-being, and enhance the accountability of the education system.

The LCVI School Council meets six times a year. Our School Council is not about fundraising and you won't be 'volun-chosen' for other duties. Our meetings are focused on information sharing and discussion. Each month, an update on school related activities is provided by the Student Council Chair(s), teacher and student representatives, and our Principal.

Council is an excellent way to stay informed about what is going on at our school and what opportunities are available for your student, both academically and otherwise. School Council members also identify topics of interest for presentation/discussion at future meetings or at special interest sessions.

Our School Council membership includes:

Co-Chairs:  Melissa Hudson & Melanie Glassford

Secretary: Jessica Lewis

Treasurer: Alex Fletcher

Indigenous Representative: Yara Findlay
